From the Principal’s Desk:
Wow, we were pleased and surprised to learn that our students had placed first at the District Track and Field day last Wednesday! We looked at the banners in the gym, and we could locate several champions a while ago in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1987, and 1988. We were runners-up in 2000 and 2012. The District Track Competition can be a challenging one if your children are not selected for an event, and we appreciated the parents who came out to help anyways! Our team is about 50 strong, and with a significant number of siblings present to spectate, a large portion of our school is involved. The day is also a social one, with connections amongst our family of schools being renewed and strengthened. May we give our Lord the glory in our sports, in our hard work and in the type of community we are building!

Praying for our parents: Please join us as we pray for Dan & Janina Dykxhoorn and Ryan & Annette Dykxhoorn.
Let us also remember Elaina Kroondyk (1) who suffered a broken arm over the weekend, as well as Uri Dalm (6) who had a bicycle accident Monday evening resulting in 15 stitches required for the heel of his foot. We pray for speedy healing, comfort and strength through the days of recuperation for both.
The Lockyer family would like to thanks all those who have been praying for her father. He is doing better and now back at the nursing home.
Praying for our staff: Please pray for our Grade 3/4 teacher Ms. Buma.
Praying for families considering ICS: We need two more families to make our 2017/2018 budget. We are still looking for more JK students, and we have room in other grades too. Foundation bursary is possible. Who is God leading to Immanuel?

Summer hours are flexible, focussed in July on the major school cleaning. Applicants need to be 16 or over, able to work independently and in a small team, with a current police check. Resumes or expressions of interest should be forwarded to Mr Cameron by Friday Jun 16.
