From the Principal’s Desk:
For our Finance Committee, Board and for myself, this time of year is budget time! We ask questions about what we need to sustain our school. How many new families will enrol for next year (our preliminary budget seeks 5 new families)? Will all our current families be able to continue? How are we doing on repaying the last of our growth debt? Can we replace a bus? With every budget, there are a set of values represented. The real questions are: What things do we value at ICS? And, where is God leading us as His school? The cost of Christian education in the province of Ontario is not cheap. But the value is immense. “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (Pr 22:6). Our mission declares that we “assist parents in raising children to follow Christ, with an excellent elementary program and a focus on Christian character growth!” Please help us plan with your prompt re-enrollments (see below). Please keep our Finance Committee and Board in prayer as we seek to follow God’s leading in planning the coming year.
In Christian education, Keith Cameron, Principal and Chief Operating Officer
Each week, during staff devotions we join in prayer for our parents and staff members. We invite you to do so as well.
Praying for our parents: Please pray for Nathan & Beth Saarloos as well as Henk & Joanne Schuurman. Also, Neal Shelton, grandfather to Jocelyn and Eden, passed away this afternoon after a very short battle with cancer. They located two tumours in his brain less than a month ago and he had just started his chemo treatments.  Please keep Stu and Jocelyn/Eden and the extended family in your prayers
Praying for our staff: Please pray for our Music teacher Mrs. Amanda Cameron. Also, please keep Mrs. Marie Smit in prayer as she experiences significant back pain, and has not been working this week.

In order to budget plan, we need to hear from our current parents now. Please confirm your registration for 2018/2019 using the Sycamore button on our homepage as soon as possible. 20 families have completed this - thank-you! If you have not re-enrolled, we will contact you by email to remind you. You’ll need your family login information.Tracey will be able to talk you through any questions / login details / challenges you may encounter. Thank-you!
